What My Blog is For

I've never had ablog before, but I think it's important for there to be a space that I can show what I'm working on, what's coming out soon, what is happening in my business and life, and any other art related news that you might like to know. I'll include updates about the upcoming month's mail club themes, stalled work, art challenges or tips I think more people should try, and a place to praise small artists that have been inspiring me lately.

STARTING MY ART BUSINESS

This is the beginning of my art business, and so far it's been full of ups and downs. I've gone through a lot of trial and error to figure out how to market my ar business, and I still have a lot to learn on that front. I've had to really scale down and decide what products I'm going to release, and when. I've also had to do a lot of experimenting to figure out where I need to outsourse manufacturing and where I can do it in house. Building this website was the hardest part. While the whole this is pretty straightforawrd, it is still very out of my comfort zone. I did really enjoy trying to make all the little parts fit my aesthetic, and I look forward to being able to learn more and edit it even further along the way.

AN ART CHALLENGE FOR YOU THIS MONTH

I love having a big, chunky sketchbook, so I try a lot of different methods and challenges to get it that way. One of my favorite challenges is something I do when it's time to clean my art space. If you're anything like me, your art supplies starts to accumulate, so while I'm cleaning I like to put all of my older, unused items to the side. Once I've cleaned up (mostly) I will use the old supplies to create a whole spread in the sketchbook. This was I get to fill a page or two, and decide what supplies I don't need to keep and what supplies I want to bring back into my daily use.

UPCOMING MAIL CLUB THEMES

If you don't know, I am starting two mail clubs that are open for subscription starting June 2026. Chill Vibes Mail Club is a mail club geared towards adults who need a moment to chill out, look at some vibey art, and get a little dopamine boost.

The theme for July is Classic Lofi Aesthetics. It will feature a cool toned classic lofi image with lots of little details and moody lighting. It will include two stickers of images that you can find in the larger print. Look closely and tell me if you see the secret piece of Oregon I added in.

My second mail club is made for children preschool-end of elementary school. When you subscribe you can choose the age range of your child. This way the items in their letter will fit their needs and education level. The mail club is designed to help parents get their kids off of screens and using their creativity, hand dextarity, and cognitive thinking skills.

The theme for July is Wild Flowers. It will include an art print that doubles as an I spy page, an instruction page on how to make flower crowns/daisy chains (a lost art in my opinion) a couple stickers, a coloring page, and a fact card relating to the theme. (If you select the younger age group this fact card will be much more simple, and feature a specific Letter, if this case F for Flower)

Both of these clubs will be mailed out in July, and are open to subscribers throughout June.
